this and that

This month we discussed Tallgrass. To those that read it, it was well recieved. There was good discussion on Colorado being at the center location of the story. Also, the mystery of who did it? Now, being an ending reader first, I could have told you that!! I liked to hear about the history of the time period. This book took place WWII era and it always fascinating for me to hear about. The book centers on one family and their lives and the lives of the Japanese who come to live in the camps nearby. The town has division because the Japanese live there and "they are responsible for the war." Yet, they are Americans taken from California. In today's world we discussed that this would likely not happen because of the politically correct society and rights of others. However, there is a lot going on with Arizona right now and Teri drove through it!! I will go ahead and finish up by saying it was a great topic to discuss and a good book choice.
